Boat Launch
There is a boat launch area near to the lodge. Please do not leave any vehicles on the launch area.
Fishing on Loch Awe
Whilst staying in Lochside Lodge you have a fishing licence to fish from the shore of the cabin and surrounding areas in the park. Please fish responsibly and do not leave fishing hooks on the ground.
Paddle boarding and Wild swimming
You can paddle board and swim in the loch at your own risk

Welcome to Lochside Lodge! You’ll find yourself surrounded by beautiful walking trails right from your doorstep—no need to hop in the car! 🌳✨ Take a stroll up to the Avich Falls or round Dalavich oakwoods or explore the many forestry tracks that wind through the area.

Inveraray Castle
Inveraray Castle is first and foremost a family home in which the Campbells have had the great privilege of residing for generations. Its very existence reflects the part played by the family in the rich tapestry of Scottish and British history.
Kilchurn Castle
Kilchurn Castle was a fortress, a comfortable residence and later a garrison stronghold, and contains the oldest surviving barracks on the British mainland. Its five-storey tower house dominates the complex, with a lower hall, courtyard and barracks below.
Glencoe Mountain Resort
In winter skiing, snowboarding, sledging and avalanche rescue training are available and the resort has both the longest and the steepest ski run in Scotland.
Munro Bagging

Glen Nant National Forest
Tranquil oakwoods, birchwoods and hazelwoods can be found at Glen Nant National Nature Reserve. Look out for evidence of ancient settlements and industry. You can also enjoy a picnic beside the burn or climb up through the glen for stunning mountain views.
